Membership Terms Pole and Aerial Trondheim (ENG)

The following membership terms regulate the agreement between you as a member and Pole and Aerial Trondheim (hereinafter referred to as POA). By joining POA, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms in their entirety.
Key points:
- Membership is not valid until the annual membership fee (årskontingent) has been paid. (1.2)
- A training agreement is not valid until the training fee (treningsavgift) has been paid. Training fees are paid in advance. (1.3)

- In case of absence without cancellation or late cancellation, the member will be charged a “No-show fee” (2.2, 2.3)
- POA disclaims all responsibility for injuries to persons or property, loss, or accidents resulting from the member’s own negligence, or circumstances beyond POA’s control. (5.1)
1. Payment
1.1 Validity of membership: Membership is personal and non-transferable. It grants access to POA’s services according to the chosen option.
1.2 Annual membership fee: This fee must be paid for the membership to be valid. A training agreement cannot be signed until membership is valid.
1.3 Training fee: Current prices for training fees are available at poatrondheim.com. Payment is made in advance, monthly. A training agreement cannot be signed until the annual membership fee is paid. Members are themselves responsible for setting up a payment agreement through Spond in online banking after the first invoice.
1.4 Automatic renewal: For subscriptions with ongoing payment, membership is automatically renewed unless terminated in accordance with section 1.5.
1.5 Termination: Membership with ongoing payment may be terminated with one month’s notice, starting from the first day of the following calendar month after notice is received. Termination must be made via the form: https://forms.gle/DsdCJFTs7SAtbMxe9
1.6 Non-payment: In case of non-payment, access to POA will be blocked until the outstanding amount is paid. Repeated non-payment may result in immediate termination of membership.
2. Schedule and Booking
2.1 Booking of classes: All booking of courses and classes must be done via POA’s online booking system. It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that booking is correct.
2.2 No-show fee: In case of absence without attendance, the member will be charged a no-show fee of NOK 50.
2.3 Cancellation of classes: The member is responsible for cancelling classes they cannot attend. This must be done at least 3 hours before the class starts, otherwise a no-show fee will be charged (2.2).
2.4 Changes in the schedule: The studio reserves the right to change the schedule, instructors, and course content if necessary (e.g. due to illness, holidays, or low enrollment). Such changes will be communicated to members as early as possible.
2.5 Minimum number of participants: Classes may require a minimum number of participants to be held. POA reserves the right to cancel classes with too few participants.
3. Health and Safety
3.1 Own responsibility: Participation in POA’s classes and use of equipment is at your own risk. Members are encouraged to consult a doctor before starting physical activity if they have health issues or injuries. Members must sign a waiver before they can begin training at POA.
3.2 Health information: Members are strongly encouraged to inform the instructor of any conditions that may affect their own or others’ safety during class. Examples: tendency to faint, balance issues, or unstable blood sugar.
3.3 Safety instructions: Members are obliged to follow the instructor’s guidance and POA’s safety instructions at all times. This includes only using equipment if trained by an instructor.
3.4 Drugs and alcohol: It is strictly forbidden to participate in regular classes under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants.
3.5 Age limit: Ordinary participation requires that the person is of legal age and can sign the training agreement themselves. For all under 18 years, written consent from a guardian is required.
4. House Rules
4.1 Respect: All members are expected to behave respectfully towards other members, instructors, and staff. Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
4.2 Cleanliness and order: Members are required to keep the premises clean and tidy, and clean up after themselves.
4.3 Damage to equipment/premises: Members are responsible for handling POA’s equipment and premises with care. Damages caused by negligence may be charged to the member.
4.4 Theft: POA is not responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings. Members are encouraged to store valuables safely.
4.5 Personal hygiene: Members are expected to maintain good personal hygiene out of respect for others and the equipment.
4.6 Photo/video: Photography and filming are not permitted during classes unless agreed with the instructor in advance. During self-training, filming is allowed but must not disturb others. It is not permitted to publish photos or videos where other members are identifiable in the background without their consent.
5. Liability and Compensation
5.1 Disclaimer of liability: POA disclaims all responsibility for injuries to persons or property, loss, or accidents arising from the member’s own negligence, or circumstances beyond POA’s control.
5.2 Force Majeure: POA is not liable for breaches of its obligations due to force majeure, including natural disasters, war, pandemics, strikes, or other unforeseen events beyond POA’s control.
6. Changes to Terms
POA reserves the right to change these membership terms. Significant changes will be communicated to members at least two weeks before taking effect.
7. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes between POA and the member shall primarily be sought resolved through negotiations. If no agreement is reached, the dispute may be brought before the ordinary courts.
8. Membership Rights
9.1 Voting rights: Paying members have the right to vote at POA’s annual meeting. Members with unpaid invoices or outstanding claims will not have voting rights until all amounts are paid
